Third grade rocked their best mismatched wardrobe last week in celebration of the marvelous book character Marisol McDonald! Students recently read the book Marisol McDonald Doesn’t Match by Monica Brown. In the story, Marisol learns that doing things the unusual way is what makes her unique, special, and exactly who she is. Blending in is just not something she’s interested in doing, even though she learns that lesson the hard way. Students discovered the underlying theme of the story, or the lesson learned, is always stay true to yourself!
