Shelton's Class

Ms. Shelton's second grade class embarked on a creative journey to wrap up their first week of a measurement unit with an exciting "spooky city-scapes" project. This hands-on activity combined math skills with artistic expression, allowing students to engage in estimation, as well as precise measurement.

Students began by estimating the height of each building they planned to include in their city-scape. Then they took out their rulers and measured each building to see how

close their estimates were to the actual heights.

After comparing the heights of the buildings, the students unleashed their creativity by decorating the city-scapes to give them a spooky twist.
