Yesterday first graders in Ms. Mobley’s class presented a “Readers Theater” play to students and teachers delight! The children beautifully and enthusiastically read their parts in two separate plays. The first was a twist on the classic “A Christmas Carol” story, with a three little pigs twist! Instead of Scrooge, the big bad wolf visited his past, present and future, and decided to turn his life around and stop eating piggies. The second reader’s theater performance was the beloved “Gingerbread Man” with a holiday surprise where Santa and Mrs. Claus chased the gingerbread treat, and a polar bear catches him in the end! The stories were wonderful, the performances excellent, and the children were so excited to read and perform. What a creative, fun way for students to showcase their reading skills by bringing these adorable stories to life. Great job boys and girls and kudos to Ms. Mobley for making reading FUN!
