GA Pre-K Week: A Week of Fun, Fashion, and Fantastic Stories!
Last week, our classroom joined Pre-K programs across Georgia to celebrate Georgia Pre-K Week, and what a memorable week it was!
Our students jumped into the festivities with creative spirit and endless energy every single day:
Shirt with Words Day: We wore our favorite shirts covered in letters, words, and phrases, turning our classroom into a living, breathing word wall.
Favorite Book Character Day: Storybook heroes came to life as students dressed up as their favorite characters from their most cherished books.
Favorite Color Day: Bright, bold, and beautiful—everyone showed off their unique personality by wearing their favorite colors.
Silly Hat Day: We capped off the celebration by showing off our funniest, wild, and most creative hats!
Special Authors, Special Books, Special Memories
The highlight of our week was diving into this year's official GA Pre-K Week book, Every Amazing Story, written by the talented duo Coy Bowles and Malcolm Mitchell.
Every single student received their very own copy of the book to take home and treasure forever! The children had a blast tuning in to listen to Coy and Malcolm read their story aloud. To make things even more exciting, we got up on our feet and danced along to the original song written specifically for the book.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Georgia Pre-K Week such a joyful celebration of early learning and literacy. Be sure to ask your child about their favorite part of the week and read Every Amazing Story together at home!
